About Us
Established in 1963, Nannie Berry Elementary is located in the heart of Hendersonville, serving students and families from PreK to fifth grade. We prepare students for the future with academic and life skills through various levels of support. High expectations are set for student learning and behavior, with multiple layers of support to reach those academic and behavioral standards. Students are taught the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey to prepare them for a lifetime of collaboration with others. They build communities through our House System- Reveur, Isibindi, Altrusimo, and Amistad, consistently emphasizing the Bulldog 7 Habits and their implementation in our school. Teachers work hard to develop a deep sense of understanding of each child- their needs, accomplishments, and talents. Upper grade students are offered a variety of club opportunities to further develop those talents and interests. Through the coaching of teachers and students, we are enhancing the experiences to create a cohesive climate and culture.
